Ansaldo STS group recognised a profit of €29,668 thousand for the six months ended 30 June 2012, compared to €32,111 thousand for the corresponding period of the previous year.
Revenue came to €568,486 thousand, compared to €569,233 thousand and the ROS was 8.9%, compared to 9.2% in the corresponding period of the previous year.
New orders totalled €796,127 thousand, compared to €667,719 thousand for the six months ended 30 June 2011 and the order backlog came to €5,689,024 thousand, compared to €5,452,770 thousand at 31 December 2011.
The official share price in the 30 December 2011 to 30 June 2012 period went from €6.44 to €4.90, updating the figure after the third instalment of the share capital increase was issued on 9 July 2012.
The share’s period high of €6.79 was recorded at the close price on 27 March 2012 and its low of €4.74 at the close price on 1 June 2012. An average 751,680 shares were traded daily in the period, compared to 606,220 shares traded in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The share’s performance did not follow the reference indices, with the FTSE Italia All-Share down 4.2%, while the FTSE Italia STAR rose 5.73%.
