“In July 2018, our company was awarded the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification (Information security management system – ISMS) by the International Standards Organization, which is an accomplishment that we can all take pride in," said. Leonardo Impagliazzo, Senior Vice President System Assurance & Control, highlighting the importance of this international recognition for Ansaldo STS.
The ISO/IEC 27001:2013 covers the requirements that increase and govern the company's Information security management system (ISMS) in order to avoid cyber threats and risks, and to protect data and related information within our company.
For us, the correct management of information and data is fundamental, especially for our business reputation. For this reason, in the beginning of 2018 Ansaldo STS launched a project to obtain the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification. However, this recognition is not the end of the process. It represents the first step of a three-year-project with the final goal to certify our IT services. In particular, this first year has been to certify the great job our company is doing with respect to business information management and the technical know-how as explained in the certificate (click here to the link).
“This certification gives our company added value, and it will bring benefits to our business as the mitigation of cyber risk and marketplace competitiveness continue to increase," said Impagliazzo.
The ISO certification recognizes our company for a higher level of safety, and the possibility of new business opportunities both nationally and internationally.
