He currently acts as Chief Technology Officer at Hitachi Rail STS.
He was President of Railway & Mass Transit Business Unit since September 2013 until Sept 2018 when he left the position to take a new role in Ansaldo STS.
He was the Chairman of the Standard Platforms & Products Unit (i.e. the Unit entrusted with developing Ansaldo STS’s standard solutions) from September 2011 until December 2013.
He was the Manager in charge of the company’s “Delivery” department within the Signalling Business Unit (including the Project Management, Engineering, Building Sites & Commissioning, RAMS, Support & Service management and functions) from January 2010 until August 2011.
He worked as a Manager in charge of the signalling activity concerning the ACC, SCMT and ERTMS system lines, as well as a coordinator for the SCC/CTC and AV system lines, and as a Manager in charge of Italy’s Subcontractor Procurement Department, from July 2007 until December 2009.
He acted as a Manager in charge of the signalling activity concerning the ACC and SCMT wayside lines, as well as a Manager in charge of Italy’s Subcontract Procurement Department at Ansaldo STS Segnalamento Ferroviario S.p.A., Manager in charge of the Project Management Office and Project Manager for the implementation of the SCC, ACEI and CTC systems from March 1992 until June 2007.
He acted as a Project Manager at FATME S.p.A., in connection with the contracts for implementing the ACEI and CTC systems manufactured in Italy, from July 1987 until February 1992. He was a signalling system designer at Ansaldo STS Trasporti S.p.A., in connection with the contracts for implementing the ACEI and CTC systems manufactured in Italy, from July 1985 until June 1987.
He graduated in Electronic Engineering from the University of Naples (Italy).
